Presidency
Juan Reynoso Durand is president of Grupo Industrial Durandco (GID), a leading conglomerate in the Mexican oil and gas, energy, infrastructure and logistics sectors. He is also one of the founding partners and a member of the Board of Directors of GID.
From 2000 to 2016, Juan served as CEO of Blue Marine, overseeing all its lines of business, including Blue Marine Oil & Gas, Subtec and Blue Marine Shipping, the company with the largest fleet (by tonnage) in Mexico. He was responsible for building important strategic alliances with leading multinational companies such as BW Group, Schlumberger, Subsea7 and Maersk, among others.
Previously, from 2004 to 2006, he was primarily responsible for unprecedented growth in the industry and for several milestones, such as bringing the first FPSO to the Mexican oil and gas market.
Along with his brother Alfredo, Juan founded Blue Marine Technology Group in 2000, two years after starting a successful career in the oil and gas sector with Impresub, a company specialized in underwater services in the Gulf of Mexico.
Previously, Juan founded and chaired Comercializadora Reacsa, a company focused on the distribution of various goods to retailers and then REACSA, a provider of security systems, liability consulting and armored vehicles.
Juan is strongly committed to the communities in which the companies he leads work and do business. He founded and chairs the Durandco Foundation, an effort that strives to preserve local species, such as sea turtles, and provides scholarships for training maritime crews.
Juan Reynoso has a degree in business administration from the University of the Americas.
Alfredo Reynoso Durand is Co-President of Grupo Industrial Durandco (GID), a leading conglomerate in the Mexican oil and gas, energy, infrastructure and logistics sectors. He is also one of the founding partners and a member of the Board of Directors of GID.
Previously, Alfredo participated in different capacities, bringing several business opportunities to Blue Marine, the company that has the largest fleet by tonnage in Mexico. It has been a key player for the company in making important strategic alliances and closing the most important deals.
Along with his brother Juan, Alfredo founded Blue Marine Technology Group in 2000, two years after he began a prolific career in the Mexican oil and gas sector, with Impresub, a company specialized in pipes, industrial diving and underwater robots in the Gulf of Mexico.
A specialist in the field of International Relations, Alfredo is considered a true entrepreneur and builder of alliances, two elements that have allowed him to create several companies throughout his career with great success.
Alfredo has a master's degree in international political economy and a degree in business administration from the University of the Americas.
Management team
Emiliano Pescador Asaf is CEO of Blue Marine and responsible for all lines of business, including Blue Marine Shipping, Subtec and Blue Marine Oil & Gas. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Blue Marine and its holding Durandco Industrial Group.
Previously, from 2011 to 2015, Emiliano served as president of Technip Mexico, overseeing all business segments in the country: offshore, submarine and onshore.
In June 2012, Emiliano was appointed coordinator of the Mexican Chamber of Construction (CMIC) for the CMIC-PEMEX ERP Committee.
Prior to that, in 2002, Emiliano worked for Global Industries, Ltd., where he held various roles, from project manager to president for Brazil and South America BU. He began his career at ICA Fluor in 1997.
Emiliano has been founder and president of Nextia Energy LLC, since 2015, and served as director of Subsea 7 Mexico from 2015 to 2017.
He was named one of the “100 most influential people in the energy sector in Mexico” by the magazine Petroleum and Energy in its 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 editions.
Emiliano has a master's degree in business administration with an emphasis on international business from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management in Phoenix, Arizona; he was part of the project management skills development program at the Technological and Autonomous Institute of Mexico (ITAM); he has a degree in industrial and systems engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM).
David worked in the Government of the State of Tamaulipas as Coordinator of Special Programs and Projects in the State Government and in the municipalities of Altamira, Tampico and Ciudad Madero. In addition, he coordinated the planning, management and execution of social infrastructure works in the conurbated area of the state.
He was part of the COTEMAR Mexico Oil & Gas Group, where he worked in the area of Quality Assurance and Process Control. He was part of the oversight of the ISO -9001-2008 On and Off Shore Process Certifications and of maintenance and construction vessels serving PEP. In addition, he was the Design and Construction Coordinator of Fluid Processing Vessels (Loderos) at the service of PEP. There he oversaw and coordinated plant design, procurement, installation and manufacturing, and testing and commissioning.
In that same group, he also served as deputy commercial director and coordinated the following areas: Commercial and contractual management before PEP in a solid and sustainable way RMNE/ RMSO/MARINE AND TERRESTRIAL INFRASTRUCTURE Works/Subdirectorate of Exploitation Technologies; Obtaining Multiannual Contracts for Maintenance and Construction; Obtaining Multiannual Agreements for Maintenance and Construction; Obtaining Strategic Works for our contracts; and Attention to Labor Events.
He was also the leader of the LIFTING Oil Extraction Services project in MEXICO and responsible for the planning and execution of the Technological Tests of artificial pumping equipment in fields in the northern AIATG region, as well as in Grupo COTEMAR.
David is an Industrial and Systems Engineer from the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas.
Carlos Arellano Zaragoza is CEO of Blue Marine Oil & Gas.
Carlos joined BlueMarine in 2018 as Deputy Director of Commercial and Business Development for BlueMarine Oil & Gas, and in 2019 he served as Director of Commercial and Business Development for Blue Marine, monitoring the industry in Mexico and identifying market opportunities.
In 2020, he was appointed the General Management of BME SUBTEC with the challenge of becoming a company that develops its total operations, going from being a company with 50 direct and 100 indirect employees on average, to being a company that currently generates more than 1,500 direct jobs on average.
In 2021, he was assigned to the General Management of Blue Marine Oil & Gas with the challenge of significantly growing its market share for Process Ships (FPSO) and well services.
Before joining BlueMarine, Carlos worked from 2013 to 2017 as Commercial Director for GrupoEmpresarial Mexico based in Mexico City. From 2010 to 2013, he was Project Director for ASIN Inc and OPTEN Holding, based in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche.
From 2008 to 2013, Carlos became a business partner of COREVI, a construction company in the city of Colima, as well as a founding partner of the construction company Maloca ARQ Studio in 2017.
Carlos has a master's degree in Engineering with a specialization in Project Management from the Ibero-American University and has a Management Program at the IPADE Business School in Mexico City; he has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colima.
